As we begin venturing out again, we are constantly looking for outdoor activities that can be enjoyed at a safe social distance from other travelers. On our most recent trip to Tahoe, we found that Tahoe Treetop Adventure Park fit the bill perfectly! Their easy to use online reservation system ensured large crowds didn’t gather at once and their sanitation & safety efforts were apparent throughout our visit.
Upon our arrival, we were thanked for wearing a mask and shown to our gear which was conveniently spaced 6ft apart from other couples. The equipment smelled strongly of sanitizer and we felt confident the staff was taking measures to clean their supplies thoroughly.
While being introduced to safety basics and course layout, the staff emphasized that each guest had “different comfort levels” and asked us to respect that by wearing a mask while on the ground. We thought this verbiage was a great way to politely enforce their mask policy and make everyone feel at ease.
Once in the trees where distance could be maintained, guests were welcome to remove their mask. Although we kept ours on, the fresh air and spacious facility felt safe. The Tahoe Treetop Adventure staff even installed sanitizer stations at the end of each course to encourage healthy practices.
Overall we loved challenging ourselves on the ropes courses and gliding down the many zip lines in the park.
